jake.irl (Jake Silverman) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and teacher from Phoenix, Arizona.
As an instrumentalist, Jake has played hundreds of gigs over the past 15 years. Multiple original/cover bands performing sets of every genre, toured the U.S. with multiple acts, and recording music as a session musician. He has performed and collaborated with many artists over the years, with some names including: Hyperbella, Kye Russoul, Prime Society, Izzy Mahoubi, MaryAnne Muglia, Ang Sirena, Dean Nelson, Wheelwright, Medio Pinto, and Jacob Luttrell. As a session musician, Jake has recorded with artists at Imperial Audio Studios, Saltmine Studio Oasis, Sonic Ranch, and in his home studio.
As a composer, Jake has written music for YouTube channels, video games, as a band member, and as a solo artist. He is the bassist of the math rock band Statue in Marble, who released their first EP of original music titled "Waking". As a solo arist, he released a album of original music titled "Progression", which was written and produced by himself. He is also a founding member of "Pavilion", a modern jazz/hip-hop band that hosts jazz night at Club Contact in Phoenix once a month.
He wrote the intro theme for the YouTube channel masesq and composed several tracks for the racing game Getaway Driver. He collaborated with another composer to write and produce the theme to the "Two Valley Girls" podcast, as well as several original songs for Monsoon Marketplace's social media. His song "Voidheart" was featured as the first track on the Spitfire Labs 5th community playlist.
As a teacher, Jake has taught private lessons for guitar, bass, music theory, and audio production for over 10 years. He has also taught classes on music theory and audio production at the Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM).
Currently, Jake is working on several different projects. He is composing music for two upcoming video games, gigging as a bassist and guitarist with multiple bands, finishing his second release of new music, recording as a session bassist for several projects, and continues to teach guitar, bass and audio production privately and at the Phoenix Conservatory of Music.
